Supplier Diversity

Committed to Practicing Our Values

As a world-class company competing successfully on a global scale, Bayer recognizes that to strengthen our leadership position, our personnel and supplier base must reflect the diversity of an ever-changing market place that knows no geographic boundaries.

For too long, businesses owned and operated by minorities, women and disabled veterans have been underutilized in meeting the services and supply needs of corporate America. Bayer's Supplier Diversity Process (SDP) enables us to tap into that reserve of talented supply providers. And doing so keeps us on the cutting edge of the global market.

We purchase a variety of goods and services from minorities, women, disadvantaged, veteran and disabled suppliers to meet the needs of our plant and office sites throughout North America. Since 1995, when SDP was established at Bayer, we have continued to increase such purchases and develop the program yearly.

Bayer is committed to using a diverse supplier base to support customer requirements and to provide opportunities to minimize total cost of the goods and services we procure. That commitment includes communicating to all supply users the importance of establishing and maintaining a diverse supplier base that reflects the diversity of our customer base.
