A Competitive Advantage. A Better Tomorrow.
Sustainable development – which to us essentially means future viability – forms an integral part of our business strategy. Together with our life values, our mission “Bayer: Science for A Better Life” serves as the foundation for our sustainable activities.
To reflect our focus on farming and dedication to tomorrow’s leaders, we support the Youth Ag-Summit, connecting 100 delegates aged 18-25 from 49 countries, to discuss food insecurity and plant seeds of change in their home communities.

Our Celebrated Business
Sustainability permeates all aspects of our business at Bayer. Health care and nutrition are essential to the well-being of society, as are innovative, high-tech materials. With that in mind, we possess a product portfolio that can make significant contributions to sustainable development throughout the globe.
We’ve joined forces with other leaders in the chemical industry to form Together for Sustainability (TfS). It’s an initiative focused on developing and implementing a global audit program to assess and improve sustainability practices within the supply chains of the chemical industry.
Our Pride in Operations
Responsible corporate governance that minimizes our business risks forms the foundation for Bayer’s business activities. Our focus is on acting responsibly in the areas of corporate compliance, human resources policy, product stewardship, occupational health, environmental protection, safety, and supplier management as set forth in detail in internal regulations. These include the Bayer Sustainable Development Policy; our Human Rights Position, which also covers working conditions; the Corporate Compliance Policy; our Supplier Code of Conduct; the Responsible Marketing & Sales Policy; and the Directive on Process and Plant Safety.
