Animal Health – serving companion and farm animals – is passionately committed to supporting the health of animals, as well as the farmers, veterinarians and the families that care for them through our innovative therapies and solutions.
Bayer Animal Health is committed to developing best-in-class therapies for the well-being of our companion animals and livestock. We've launched new drugs while continuing to support cornerstone products such as the Advantage® family of dog and cat health products.
Bayer understands the powerful bond between dog and owner. That’s why we’re proud to partner with K9s for Warriors, which pairs trained shelter dogs with veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) to help them transition back to civilian life. Rose Brooks Center is the first domestic violence shelter in its region to welcome the pets of women and children seeking a safe haven from abuse. Bayer provided the seed money for Rose Brooks to open Paws Place Shelter on its grounds in 2012 so families and their pets can heal together. We extended our support of Rose Brooks through the creation of the PAWS: Share the Story campaign, which aims to raise awareness about the Pet and Women Safety (PAWS) Act currently under review by Congress. The bill would provide federal funding so more shelters can add onsite pet facilities to avoid survivors being forced to choose between a life without their pet or a dangerous living situation. By partnering with Adopt-a-Pet.com, North America’s largest non-profit pet adoption website, Bayer supports the health and adoption of more than 17,000 animal shelters and rescues across the U.S. and Canada. Through the 2017 Bayer Grant Program, Adopt-a-Pet.com will give shelters and rescues $20,000 in product from Bayer, including Advantage® II flea prevention for cats and K9 Advantix®II flea, tick and mosquito prevention for dogs. (Do not use K9 Advantix II on cats.) Learn more.
