Pittsburgh, November 3, 2010 — Bayer MaterialScience LLC, a leader in polyurethane innovation, has earned an award for Best Paper Presentation at the American Chemistry Council’s Center for the Polyurethanes Industry’s Polyurethanes 2010 Technical Conference. The conference took place Oct. 11-13, 2010, in Houston.
Authors Brian Karlovich, product safety representative, Jim Lambach, head of technology and technical marketing for the Spray Polyurethane Insulation and Roofing Materials business and Carl Thompson, a senior scientist with the Environmental Analytics Laboratory, all of Bayer MaterialScience LLC, won in the Health, Safety and the Environment Session category for a presentation on their paper, A Proposed Methodology for Development of Building Re-Occupancy Guidelines Following Installation of Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation.
The presentation outlined a method for determining when a building can be safely re-occupied after the application of Bayseal® CC and Bayseal® OC spray polyurethane foam insulation products.
